Model Attacked By Topless Girls on Runway

Never a dull moment at Paris Fashion Week. The Nina Ricci show on Sept. 26 took a very unexpected turn when two feminist — very topless — protestors rushed onto the runway screaming. One model in particular, Hollie-May Saker, found herself smack dab in the middle of the wild scene — and you won’t believe how she handled it!

The women, from a Ukranian feminist group called Femen, were on a mission to get their message out with phrases like “Model don’t go brothel” and “Fashion dictaterror” written on their bare bodies. But before they got too far, and even the security guards could get to them, Hollie-May gave them a little taste of law and order.

“As she grabbed my arm she lifted my skirt exposing me,” the 18-year-old model from the UK told the Liverpool Echo. “I pulled my arm back with such force that I landed a punch square on her nose. I was so angry but I knew I had to be professional so I carried on walking with a bit of sassiness.”

Iyanya Mbuk. Born October 31st 1986 in Cross River state to a family of four, Iyanya

  Onoyom Mbuk is a graduate of Business Management of the University of Calabar and co-

 founder, Made Men Music Group; his record label. 
 His journey to fame actually took a remarkable leap forward on December 7, 2008 when he won the first ever MTN West Africa Project Fame reality show and have since proved he has a deserving role to play in the Nigerian Music Industry by headlining a 16 state tour sponsored by Nigerian telecom giant, MTN. 

 

In September of 2009, Iyanya was awarded the opportunity to perform at the world renowned New York Fashion Week, and even got the chance to serenade Grammy Award nominee Melanie Fiona at the LTB Jean store in Soho New York. Iyanya’s freshman album released shortly after he rose to fame, entitled “My Story”, and it enjoyed massive airplay both on radio, TV stations and Nigerian music websites. Iyanya’s most notable songs include ‘In Love Again’, ‘I’m the One’, and ‘South-South Girl’.

 In 2012, Iyanya Mbuk once again proved there is much more to his singing talent by dropping chart toppers like “Kukere’’, an ‘Etighi’ dance song and “Bust Me Brain’’ which have already taken over airwaves all over West Africa and global African diaspora communities in the US and UK; these songs have become a massive hit. 
 

In February 2013, Iyanya dropped his sophomore album titled “Iyanya vs Desire”, which literally means Iyanya the pop artist and Desire the RnB side of Iyanya. The album featured Nigeria’s notable music stars like MI, D’Banj, Flavour,Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Vector Tha Viper, May D, just to name a few. 

 

Iyanya recently became a brand ambassador for Nigerian Telecommunication giant, MTN, and the deal is said to be a worth a whooping N60 million Naira (about $372,000 USD). The Kukere master, who is blessed and fortunate, is on the way to the top.

Emma Chukwugoziam Obi (Stage Name: Emma Nyra).
Emma Nyra is a Nigerian Performing Artist out who moved to Nigeria from Houston TX. Both of her parents hail from the Capital of Delta State, Asaba. Emma Nyra along with her three siblings, are first generation Nigerian which means that they are the first generation to be born abroad (Texas). Nyra recently graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Administration and also obtained a Minor in Public Affairs. Upon obtaining her degree, Nyra has transitioned to Lagos, Nigeria with the full intent of taking her musical aspirations to the next level with the release of her two singles Everything I Do’ ft. Iyanya and ‘Ori Mi Wu’ both produced by the mastermind behind ‘Kukere’, D’Tunes along with her latest single Kereshere which was produced by Mr. Chidoo. Nyras’ singles have already gotten massive air time on major radio stations in Nigeria, and have garnered high ranking on top music sharing sites! Emma Nyra’s other accolades include the fact that although her passion is singing, she is also a model and an actress.

 Nyra has acted in various Nollywood films including Rebound with Van Vicker and Uche Jumbo and Keep My Dream which features Ini Edo and Pascal Atuma. Within the modelling world, Nyra is an accomplished runway and print model and she has walked in 50+ fashion shows in Texas, Florida, and New York, representing the Nigerian Reunion Association. In order to garner experience with radio prowess, Nyra also hosted two Internet Syndicated Radio Shows on GidiLounge Radio, called Reality Check which aired on Monday evenings and GidiLounge Request Live which aired on Saturday evenings. Emma nyra just completed a 14 state US and CANADA TOUR with fellow label mate iyanya and was awarded Most Promising Female Act 2013 by the Nigerian Entertainment Awards~
